Addendum 2: Using u/Agret's comment, I would use Rivatuner Statistics Server to limit your maximum frames to your monitor's refresh rate as this will help control power usage and hence CPU heat output. Addendum 3: DirectX 9 is not a good idea (lots of stuttering), set the DxVersion as auto.
